Description

The literal meaning of Puducherry, Newyong Town, formerly Pondicherry, is the Union Territory of India. It was composed of four exquisites from the former India, such as Pondicherry (Pondicherry; now Punducherry), Karyalal (Krystal), Mee and Yanan (Yanam). Its name is named after the largest district Ponducherry. Historically known as Pondicherry (Panikarii), this area changed its official name to Puducherry on September 20, 2006.

Puducherry is situated in the southern part of the Indian Peninsula. The areas of Puducherry district and Kärkal district belong to the Tamil Nadu State, while Yanam district and Maha districts are surrounded by the states of Andhra Pradesh and Kerala respectively. Puducherry is a 29th in Population and third state / Union Territory with densely populated population. It has a GDP of ₹ 0.21 lakh crore (US $ 3.3 billion) and ranks 27th in India
