Why is Ibn Sina remembered in the world of medicine?

Ibn Sina or Avicenna one of the most influential of all Islamic philosopher-scientists. in the west, he is also known as the ‘Prince of Physicians’ for his famous medical text’al-Qanun’. To his work on medicine, he later added religious tracts, poems, work on philosophy, logic, physics, mathematics, and astronomy. though based on Hippocratic philosophy, Unani medicine as a healing system was founded by Ibn Sina.
